"Jesus is more better."

That grammatically terrible sentence has stayed with Bill Ellis for over thirty years - ever since a campus ministry teacher named Steve Newell announced it as his title for a study of the Epistle of Hebrews. It stuck because it is true. Jesus is more better than every priest, every prophet, every covenant, and every sacrifice that came before him. The letter of Hebrews says so thirteen times, using the Greek word kreitton - superior, excellent, better - like a drumbeat that never stops.

Bill went on to study Hebrews formally at el Seminario Teológico Centro Americana (SETECA) in Guatemala, and in over thirty years of bilingual ministry across Central America and the United States he has returned to this epistle more than any other book in the Bible.
