LITTLE TROT DISCOVERS INFLATION

The Little Trot series introduces young readers to important "grown-up" words about money, saving, investing, and finance in a fun and engaging way.

These books can be read independently or shared with an adult, who can help explain more advanced concepts such as inflation (see below for a full list of vocabulary). Even children who cannot yet read will enjoy following the story through the colourful and expressive illustrations.

Suitable for all ages from 3 to 99, this book is especially valuable for children aged 5-12, helping them build an early understanding of the financial world they will encounter later in life.

In this story, Little Trot is carefully saving his coins in his piggy bank, dreaming of buying a lovely blue tablet.

But unknown to him, the Mayor of Toy Town, Mr Ronald Trumpet, needs more money to cover his growing expenses. He turns to the Meddlesome Reserve Bank, run by Geronimo Prowl the owl, and begins borrowing more and more money.

Soon, the printing press is working overtime...

Before long, Little Trot notices something strange-everything is becoming more expensive, including the tablet he has been saving for.

Concerned, he turns to his wise friend, Wise Old Stump, who explains what inflation is and how it affects money over time. Stump also shares an important lesson on how to protect savings from rising prices.

Will Little Trot understand the lesson? And will he ever be able to afford his dream?
