Dana Lynne O'Malley grew up believing that her grandfather was aleprechaun. After all, that was the nickname her grandmother lovinglygave him. Curiously, even as Dana becomes an adult, her grandfathernever dissuades her from the fantasy. When her grandfather dies, however, it quickly becomes clear that heis indeed more than just an ordinary mortal. He rises from the dead, clad in his burial kilt, confident that he's been sent back for a reason. Dana is struggling to move beyond the tragic death of her lesbian loverwhile at the same time dealing with the daunting prospect of runningthe "Burlington Gazette," the family newspaper. She dreams of branchingout and thriving as a photographer. Luckily, her grandfather'sinsurance policy is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and he's onlytoo happy to allocate some of the money to help his granddaughter findher passions. Travel with Dana as she traverses the country, capturing the spirit ofAmerica using the lens of her camera, much like Norman Rockwell didwith his paintbrush. It's a bittersweet journey on which she meets abeautiful Latina named Angelita Esperanza, and her life is foreverchanged.
