Scriptural Pattern of Living

What should our response be, when one can clearly see that the pattern of living, set forth in the Bible, is basically nowhere to be found in this world? Many of us have felt the frustration of being unable to change people or change the environment in which we are living. Many of us have had our moments when we failed to see even the slightest indication of improvement or growth or positive outcome within situations of despair and disruption. It is extremely difficult to come to grips with situations like these. Where is Yahweh, the Creator of heaven and earth, in all of this? Is it realistic to expect that things will become better? Is restoration only something of the far off future? Or is it something that can happen in our own lifetime? It is the conviction of the author of this book that there is a major restoration that is yet to happen, some time in future, but that restoration is also for the here and now. Ordinary people may experience this in their own lives, by discovering the clear pattern of living, set forth in the Biblical Scriptures, and building their own lives upon this blueprint.
