Shape Story 1

Shapes are amazing!

Yes, they are!

And each one of them

is without par!

Shapes inspire ideas! Shapes illuminate solutions! Shapes illumine new perspectives!

Imagine! Your young child comes across a poster that presents the basic shapes. Is your child excited? Is he/she in any way inspired? Far from it! The shapes are lifeless and immovable. They are stuck on the wall as matter-of-fact designs. Your child glazes over the groups of lines and then moves on to find something more entertaining and worthwhile. But WAIT! Shapes ARE worth their while. Yes, they seem like uninteresting designs, but these are designs that have been esteemed and loved for thousands of years. The artifacts big and small of the ancient world are replete with these shapes. And even today, shapes have far reaches in the world of architecture, art, math, and science. The influence they have is still great, and the potential they carry for a creative child is enormous! So imagine. Your young child comes across Miss Anna's Shape Story. The eyes grow big and twinkle as these shapes talk, trapeze in the air, and blow bubbles with their friends. Your child learns their names. Your child starts to see shapes in everything. And then your child starts to wonder...'What can I build with shapes?'

An educational fiction written in rhyme, Miss Anna's The Shape Story 1 introduces the basic geometric shapes to a young child with the help of new special friends, the Shapes. Yes, you heard it! Shapes! With eyes that can see and with limbs that can walk, jump, and climb, the charming Shapes guide a child through their world where Shapes are just a knock away, literally. Miss Anna's books are always full of jolly surprises. Her stories serve not only to entertain but also to empower a child to learn and see things in creative and new ways. As an aside, she likes to tie in perfectly-sized morsels of history in as well. Miss Anna believes that learning should be a joyful and memorable experience, a memory that is to be shared between the parent and the child. Buy the book, snuggle close to your child, and enter into the world of Shapes together! Every child is born creative. Further awaken the 'creative' in your child with The Shape Story! Do get ready to knock on some doors!
