Stone's Seceret

For the past eight months, Alice Hunt has been plagued with nightmares. They come every couple of nights, and they all are of her husband being tortured. The dreams are made worse with the knowledge that he was shot and killed the month before they started. Alice pours her whole heart and soul into her training and discovering how to destroy the Guardian's Stone. If nothing else, she was going to stop the people who killed him from getting what they wanted. Close to a breakthrough, but still missing the key person to finally ending the threats, Alice is becoming desperate. Rumors reach them of a prisoner that sounds like he might be who they are looking for. Matt and Isaac leave immediately to investigate, and Alice cannot help but follow them. The only problem is, the prisoner is located in the neighboring country and not much is known about it; save its hostile people, and harsh weather. Alice's plan to sit back and watch from a distance is ruined when Cain, the second in command, takes an interest in her. Isaac and Matt are unable to protect her after they are separated, and Alice is trapped within the city walls. Things heat up as Cain becomes more insistent in his attempts to get to Alice. Finding an ally in Queen Isabel, she is temporarily safe until her uncle can come back for her. While waiting for Isaac to return, Alice discovers that nothing in Valencia is as it seems. As the buried secrets of the past come to light, Alice realizes that her future is closely tied to the past of this unfamiliar country. The Stone that everyone is hunting for is just a small portion of the mystery into which she is thrown. The question is, will Alice uncover everything in time to save the people she loves most?
