Humanity's last invention is almost here.

As language models approach the threshold of general intelligence and Turing's question -can a machine think?- ceases to be theoretical, the evils of Pandora's box are unleashed: disinformation, unemployment, loss of agency, autonomous weapons. The Geneva Summit tries, and fails, to halt the race. The papal encyclical Magnifica Humanitas reflects on the soul of machines. And an entire generation grows up coexisting with artificial intelligence from the cradle.
Meanwhile, China emerges as the second global player with DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi. Latin America, without AI companies but with millions of users, becomes a laboratory for the future. And in the cracks of the margins, the first signs of hope appear: rural clinics, schools in favelas, coffee cooperatives using AI to survive.

This volume -the close of the ATTENTION series- projects three possible horizons: abundance, servitude, extinction. And, from a rooftop in Bogotá, a Latin American writer poses the ultimate question that runs through the entire epic: what happens when the creature surpasses its creator?
