Chinese Classics for Beginners

The second series of Chinese Classics for Beginners comprises six volumes: Selected Tang Poems (300 Poems), The Analects, The Great Learning & The Doctrine of the Mean, Augmented Wisdom (Zengguang Xianwen), Li Weng's Rhyming Primer (Li Weng Dui Yun), and The Rhyming Primer (Sheng Lü Qi Meng). With flexible layouts designed to accommodate readers of various age groups, the series ensures accessibility for all. The main text is printed in large, clear typefaces throughout. Pinyin phonetic annotations are provided for all volumes except The Analects and The Great Learning & The Doctrine of the Mean, making it easier for young children to recognize and pronounce characters. Annotations are included to clarify difficult or obscure words and phrases. Vernacular translations are offered for all volumes except Li Weng's Rhyming Primer and The Rhyming Primer, enabling readers to grasp the precise meanings of the classical texts.
