In the town of Shellington, everybody is an egg - and everybody knows exactly what that means. The Hardboiled Eggs are tough and fearless. The Sunny Side Ups are cheerful. The Poached Eggs expect the worst. The Omelets are a little bit of everything. And the Regular Eggs? They're just... regular. Ordinary. Fragile. One wrong step from cracking for good.

Ten-year-old Robby is a Regular Egg, and he knows it better than anyone. He's not tough. He's not fearless. He's the kind of egg other kids walk past without a second thought - until the day he watches a small, fragile egg named Oliver stand up to a group of bullies and pay the ultimate price. Oliver's final words echo through Shellington and through Robby's heart: We are not so different.
