Firefighter Finn

Snow day! School is cancelled, the whole town is white, and somewhere out in the blizzard, a tiny black dog named Pepper has disappeared.

Pepper's Snow Day Rescue is a warm, funny winter adventure for children ages 3 to 8. Firefighter Finn, Blaze the big red fire truck, and Sparky the Dalmatian follow one scent through Elm Street, the High Street, and all the way to Maplewood Park. Lily and Juliet run the radio and the hand-drawn map from the fire station, because a snow day is the perfect day for a rescue.

Every page has short, read-aloud text with sound words and a playful pace, perfect for bedtime, storytime, and little readers. Kids will cheer for the brave crew, giggle at Lily's theory about warm smells, and love Pepper, who stays perfectly calm through the whole adventure.

Along the way, young readers learn simple winter pet safety: check the garden gate before going out in snow, tell a grown-up right away if a pet is missing, keep small pets inside on snowy days, and give pets fresh water, even in winter. A bright collar with a bell helps a dark pet be seen in the snow.

Hand-drawn, full-color illustrations make every page feel warm and personal. Great for snow days, winter storytime, firefighter fans, dog lovers, and families who enjoy a rescue story with a happy ending.
