Haints & Hellfire

In the sleepy southern town of Valesburg, a horrific crime draws in reporters from all over the country. Billie 'BB' Blaire of WNTF News, with her long suffering cameraman Ralph, smells a story that might get her a Pulitzer, if it doesn't kill her first. And if the story doesn't kill her, her powerful competition, Brock Wolf just might.

Six-year-old Jimmy watched something kill his parents. Something inhuman. And it wants him next. His only hope is his Aunt Ellie, who lives up in the mountains and knows the truth of things the modern world works so hard to forget. The Haints that move in the night are real. And Ellie wants revenge against whatever killed her sister.

In the Appalachian Mountains, which stand older than bone, things move in the shadows with dark purpose. Blood calls for blood, and contractually the Law Offices of Crimson & Black might just ensure it is spilled.

Lives interwoven by these events come together across a few nights of death, violence, and eldritch horrors that will haunt the survivors for the rest of their days.
