LIFE: Living and the Realities of Life - Volume VII: Life Before God and the Final Measure of Being is the concluding volume of Joseph Mboya Okello's seven-volume work. It brings the entire argument to its final theological, philosophical, moral, and existential question: what becomes of life when every secondary measure has been stripped of final authority?

Across Part XV and Chapters 124-132, Volume VII examines the self, achievement, being, truth, goodness, love, mortality, and destiny before God. It argues that the self is real and dignified but cannot be its own final court; that life is gift before achievement; that being is received rather than absolutely owned; that truth is received rather than invented; that goodness cannot be manufactured by preference; that love must answer to truth and the good; and that mortality reveals the creaturely limit no wealth, office, power, reputation, or legacy can overcome.

The book does not despise achievement, education, profession, business, capital, leadership, public service, family responsibility, or legacy. It asks a harder question: can these realities remain truthful when they are used as evidence of arrival, self-justification, or final worth? Volume VII returns them to their proper place beneath gratitude, stewardship, conscience, worship, and accountability before God.

This final volume is both severe and merciful. It refuses the flattering measures by which people protect themselves, but it also refuses despair. God is presented not as a careless audience or hostile critic, but as the Giver of life, the Knower of the whole person, the just Judge, the merciful Healer, and the final Measure of being. Before Him, nothing true is lost, nothing false is finally safe, no hidden faithfulness is forgotten, and no public achievement can substitute for truthful life.

The argument moves beyond reputation into the inner life: motive, desire, memory, conscience, worship, repentance, and freedom. It asks if one has become true, not only visible; formed, not only accomplished; wise, not only educated; accountable, not only powerful; surrendered, not only religious. It shows self-measure to be unbearable. The self cannot create truth, authorize goodness, conquer mortality, cleanse guilt, secure destiny, or know itself as God knows it.

Yet the book does not end in negation. It presents right proportion before God as mercy. Achievement may become grateful service; possession, stewardship; leadership, entrusted responsibility; love may be purified from control; and legacy released from defeating death. The person is not lost before God, but truthfully located: received, known, answerable, corrigible, and summoned to worship, repair, hope, and faithfulness.

The movement culminates in Chapter 132, Life Finally Before God, and an Afterword that returns the completed search to the wider field of life's true meaning. The whole work closes where it began and where its deepest burden required it to end: life is received, carried, tested, formed, stewarded, and finally answerable before God.

Volume VII is written for readers who have achieved, led, built, served, suffered, believed, doubted, carried responsibility, or wondered whether visible success can answer the deepest questions of existence. It is a serious invitation to relinquish self-measure, receive life as gift, submit truth and goodness to God, love answerably, face mortality soberly, and stand before God with the whole life present.

This is not merely the end of a seven-volume print sequence. It is the completion and closure of LIFE: Living and the Realities of Life.
