The Zeta cartel is a criminal organization whose members are recruited from Mexico's military. Led by a mysterious figure known only as Yaotl, the Zetas ship billions of dollars in fentanyl and heroin to the north. Using the enormous profits, he has bought his way into every aspect of Mexican life.

Ethan Crowe, a former Army Ranger, leads an elite team of special forces operators and Native American trackers. Their job--stop the Zetas in the harsh desert borderlands. They're succeeding beyond expectations, creating havoc with the Zeta supply chain.

Yaotl is furious. The disruptions are hurting his profits and credibility. These policias indios must be stopped. His solution: put an end to Ethan Crowe. He sends a group of assassins (sicarios) north, all the way to Pine Ridge Reservation in the Dakotas. Their orders: "Find the Crowe family. Kill them all--kill everything that breathes."
