Superconsciousness and the Ways to Achieve It

A newly translated edition of a Russian esoteric classic that guides readers through developing their supersensory perception of the spiritual realmFirst written in 1906 by Russian religious philosopher, playwright, and statesman Mitrofan Vasilyevich Lodyzhensky, this book guides readers through the steps one must take to reconnect with the spiritual realm. Through a comparison of Western occultism, Raja Yoga, and Christian mysticism Superconsciousness and the Ways to Achieve It will assist readers in developing their supersensory perception. Even in the early twentieth century, Lodyzhensky recognised the moral and spiritual failings a world and society that had succumbed to atheism and materialism. Drawing on a range of different theologies and worldviews, he argues that relying on the blind faith of our ancestors is not the way forward, and instead outlines an experimental approach to spirituality, fit for modern times: if only people could evolve to perceive the spiritual realm, their worldview has the potential transform completely. As relevant today as it was one-hundred years ago, Superconsciousness and the Ways to Achieve It will be of interest to any student or practitioner of the magical arts, or anyone interested in broadening their understanding of the world, and what might lie just out of sight. Yury Pankratov’s translation remains as sharp, clear, and accessible as ever as he continues to cement his essential role in uncovering the lost classics of Russia’s esoteric past.
