Death Raiser

The dead usually have the answers. Now they're too scared to speak.I survived my last case with the Victoria Police, but now a new serial killer has emerged. Finding him should be easy. Normally, I'd raise the victims, ask who killed them, and let the police take it from there. But now the dead aren't talking, and while the souls are silent, the vampires won't shut up. They need me to unlock a secret they've protected for centuries, and they don't intend to let me walk away.My arrangement with the vampires is complicated. My feelings for a certain grumpy detective are even worse. Neither matters when I realize the killer isn't just evading capture. He's hunting me. Somehow, I've become part of his twisted game. Running from trouble isn't an option. I'm too stubborn, and I still have bills to pay and detectives to infuriate. Unfortunately, the closer I get to the truth, the closer the killer gets to me. If I don't figure out why I'm the target, I'll go from speaking for the dead to joining them.A deliciously dark urban fantasy sequel with a flawed necromancer trying to survive a harsh supernatural world by international bestselling author J. C. McKenzie.
