White Symphony

At forty-eight, Dorota finds herself alone, drowning in her memories. As she now wonders about the one who was a heroine to her father, and a sister to Lucia, who has not discovered much about herself, what remains of her time has dissipated while she is enveloped in an awareness of psychological trauma. Colombia-a country and a memory-was a place of remembrance, giving birth to stories, one homeland after another, under its last clothes, which become its first clothes. A body emerges from a time of pristine whiteness and from a mind wrapped in some fog. There is no surprising truth in its death, as much as the fact that its death began to end day after day. Will the mirror that reflects faces we do not recognize be defeated, or is the story still in formation, or does it escape into the folds of a memory that wastes in all this time, and a place called Santa Maria?
